Welcome to our FAQs. We have noted down the answers to the most frequently asked queries below:

 How long will it take for my order to arrive?

The production of stainless steel metal cards differs from the normal offset paper printing process. Due to the complexity of the manufacturing process, our usual turn-around time to produce metal cards is a minimum of 4 weeks*. 

Production time may vary depending on the complexity of the job and the amount of printed colours required.

All orders are shipped with reputable courier companies.

 I need my cards next week - Is this possible?

Unfortunately, no. As mentioned above, it takes time to create the perfect metal card and we pride ourselves in producing the highest quality products. Due to the intricate nature of the production process, the amount of time taken to produce the cards can not be accelerated.

 What is the minimum order for metal business cards,  bottle opener cards, key tags and dog tags?

Our minimum order for all metal business cards, dog tags, key rings and bottle openers is 100. If you require less than 100 cards, we CAN do this, but costs will be higher due to the lower quantity of cards being produced.

Feel free to give us a call or send us an email to enquire about purchasing less than 100 cards and we can provide you with a quote.

 Are the cards high quality?

Absolutely! We take great pride in our metal cards and only use the best marine-grade stainless steel. Our cards come in grade 304 stainless steel and we can even go up to 316 marine-grade if your cards will be exposed to salty water or other corrosive elements.

You will not be disappointed with your metal cards. They honestly look and feel very high-end, professional and sophisticated and the printing, etching and cut-throughs are highly detailed and look as good as you see on your design proof!

 What shape can I make my card?

We can cut almost any shape possible. Let your imagination run wild!

Our standard card size is 85mm x 54mm.

We do recommend smooth/round corners as the cards can become sharp. All shapes are subject to approval. If you require a custom-sized card and shape, please request a quote here.

 Can you print colours on my card?

Yes, ink silk screen colour printing is available on our stainless steel cards and products. 

We can also print photos, graphics and illustrations. 

We can do full card background colour printing, right to the edges of the card, for a very eye-catching and unique look!

Can I personalise each card with a different name or number?

We can personalise each card with sequential or unique numbering, or personalise the card with individual names or other unique data. 

We can also print magnetic strips (HICO like on bank cards and LoCo like on hotel room door keys). We can also print custom barcodes and QR codes.

These extra finishes are perfect for VIP cards, membership cards or loyalty program cards.

 I don't have a design, can you help me out?

Yes! Here at metalcards.com.au we offer a superior graphic design service to help you achieve the perfect metal card. All you need to do is supply us with your card details and logo and one of our expert designers will take care of the rest. You will receive an artwork proof before your cards are sent to production. 

PLEASE NOTE: As our graphic designers spend valuable time working on each metal card design to ensure that every design is just right, please understand that all orders must be confirmed and paid for in full prior to the commencement of our free design service. Logo design is not included in our design service.

 Do you use templates when designing metal business cards?

No way! As every business is individual, we will create a fresh and customised design to suit your business each and every time.

 I only have a logo, is this considered finished final vector artwork?

It's great that you have your logo in vector format. However, unless you simply just require the logo on your card and nothing else, it is not considered finished vector artwork. If you are supplying your artwork, the file must be ready to produce. This means that the front and back of the artwork must be supplied exactly how you intend the artwork to be produced. If you require help with artwork setup, we offer a graphic design service and we can design your card for you.

 Will the cards leave fingerprints or scratches?

Due to the nature of stainless steel, it is extremely difficult to eliminate all scratches and oils on the card surface. This is similar to stainless steel household appliances and other stainless steel products. While we do everything we can during the manufacturing process to minimise this, the amount that appears on the surface will depend on how the card is handled and on each person's finger oil.
